The Kent Test is made up of 3 papers each lasting 50-60 minutes:

Verbal Reasoning: Questions based on vocabulary and understanding complex written information.

Non-Verbal Reasoning: Pattern recognition, identifying logical relationships in visual data.

Mathematics: Arithmetic, problem solving and reasoning.

Results

Places are allocated based on the overall performance that year and available spots. There is no fixed pass mark, but mock pass marks can be used as a guide.

Important Dates:

• Registration: Register by the deadlines set by Kent County Council and Medway Council, typically in June or July.
• Tests: Usually administered in September at specific centres or at your child's primary school.
• Results: Released in October, providing information on your child’s score and their chance of admission to grammar schools.
